Straightening your smile can improve your quality of life in many ways. For example, it can boost your confidence, make talking and chewing easier, and even reduce your risk for developing tooth decay and gum disease. If you’ve thought about straightening your teeth but aren’t sure where to start, you’ve come to the right place: today we’re sharing information about our orthodontic services.

At River Stone Dental Center, we offer traditional metal braces and clear aligner therapy.

Traditional Metal Braces

Metal braces are probably the image that first pops into your head when you think about orthodontics. Modern technology has made metal braces more comfortable and less disruptive than ever before. They’re a versatile option for correcting mild, moderate, and severe misalignment. Plus, you don’t need to worry about losing them because the hardware is permanently attached to your teeth for the duration of the treatment.

Clear Aligner Therapy

Clear aligners are popular among many of our teen and adult patients because they straighten teeth without using any visible wires or metal brackets. Specialized software custom-creates a digital map of your teeth and then a series of aligners that will gradually shift your teeth into place over time. Patients should wear their aligners for 20-22 hours each day, removing them when eating, drinking anything other than water, and for cleaning. Treatment for clear aligner therapy is about 12 months.

Which Orthodontic Service Is Right for Me?

When it comes to the right orthodontic treatment, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. The best way to learn which orthodontic service is best for you is to schedule a consultation with our team at River Stone Dental Center. During your consultation, our team will examine your oral health and misalignment and ask you about your goals for your smile. We’ll also take other factors, like your budget, into account.
